February is a time of love with family and friends. Clinic for Women is supporting the March of Dimes by collecting donations for free workshops.

Thursday workshops starting at 10:00 a.m.:

Feb. 5th Rekindling the Spark in Marriage some tips from Dr. Laura Berman’s Book

Feb. 12th Interior Designer Pam D’Avanzo presenting, Creative Ideas for Spring

Feb. 19th Cooking with Children prepares some healthy snacks. Reservations only, class limited.

Feb. 26th Le Flore’ florist will discuss the medicinal effects of flowers

The March of Dimes helps fund:

Research into the causes and preventions for premature birth and genetic birth defects
Education to help women have healthy pregnancies and reduce the risk of preterm labor
Assistance for pregnant women with questions and concerns through the Pregnancy & Newborn Health Education Center at the March of Dimes
The NICU Family Support project to provide information and comfort to families who have a baby in neonatal intensive care


New Support Groups starting January 22nd

Thursdays starting Jan. 22nd 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. 
Tuesdays starting Jan. 20th 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m

 Weight loss support group. You are not alone.
Self-image affects personal relationships, job performance and productivity as well as long term health and longevity. Statistics have proven that women who have support loosing weight are 85% more likely to lose weight and keep it off.  Come join us Thurday evenings or Tuesday mornings for women at home to start the new year with a positive outlook.

I have a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University and special training in careeer development, personal counseling, group and family therapy. My training also includes specialized seminars and an internship addressing eating disorders and trauma.

Experience:

Twenty-two years as a Family and Consumer Science Educator, teaching high school students parenting, marriage and household management skills.

Thirty-three years of marriage with two grown children. Our son is married, a mortgage banker and living in Alaska. Our daughter is married and expecting her first child. Her Masters is also in counseling.

I am interested in helping women who need a supportive, nurturing environment to deal with the stresses of home, marriage, and family life.
